Christmas

Does it feel like Christmas to you? It doesn't to me. I don't know what is going on. It's a week and a half away, and the feeling hasn't got to me yet. To the outside world, I am showing an act. A mirage to what is actually there. I just recently touched back down in Australia after a trip to Italy, and my family had already put all the decorations up and had watched the family Christmas movie without me. The Christmas spirit should have touched me by now. Or maybe I have already had my fill of Christmas. Coming from a climate where the "traditional" Christmas holds true, maybe a summer Christmas won't work on me this year.

Fete

Another fete over, another massive headache. Usually the school fete isn't much of a bother for me. I don't do anything for it, and I have a mediocre time. But this year was different. I actually put my hand up and said that I'd organise an entire room all by myself. I am part of a school/student initiative called the "Social Justice Team". Designed to raise awareness of the wrong doings throughout the world, my idea for the fete had nothing to do with that. My idea was to fill the library with as many TV's and consoles as possible. It worked, and was a huge success. We raised $108.20. This is a phenomenal number considering we were charging $1 per play. After the ordeal, I have decided to do it again. Only this time, I'll have an entire year instead of 2 months to get things sorted. I'm still recovering from what could have been the most stressful event of my life so far. Kudos to all of the members of the social justice team, and all who attended. I couldn't have done it without you.

School

School really screws something like this... I’ll have to manage my time better in the future. In the mean time though, this’ll just sit here and gather dust.

Bitching

My there is a lot of that going around isn't there. So much bitching happens every day, and most of us just don't take notice. If you sit anywhere where there is a lot of people hanging around, observe the scene, and see if you can find any instances of this. It may take a while, but as you sit and watch, you'll notice it happening before you.

Humour & Developers

Humour is an essential part of everyday life. I have never noticed how much of a necessity it was until today. I was sitting in my Drama class with a group of friends working on a radio drama. The end result was a bizarre combination of every genre that we had thought of called, "Western Alien Invasion 3000 Turbo". Characters included "Jimmy" the cactus and "Uncle Albert".

Welcome

I have been a blogger for about a year and a half, and yet, I haven't found out what actually being a blogger means yet. I started a podcast, that failed. And I have also written a short travel journal, which is complete. I have found that my writings about that trip have been the closest I have gotten to actually being a blogger. A person that regularly updates their own personal slice of Internet space, but I have just been filling it with crap. I hope to turn this into a more personal space for myself and anyone who wants to join me. So once again, welcome.
